While in the US Army, Raymond went to Ft. Dix NJ for Basic training and traveled to Ft. Eustis, VA for advanced training as an UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter mechanic. He was stationed at Schofield Barracks Hawaii for 3 years and attended his first Leadership school there. He returned to Ft. Eustis to work and the Black Hawk Helicopter Test Pilot Course and completed the Primary Leadership Course and the Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, and served a year at Camp Stanley, Korea, and served at Ft. Campbell, KY as a technical inspector and attended the Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course. He completed his tour of service in Nov. 17, 1998. Raymond joined the Tennessee Highway Patrol January 2002 and his first duty station was Williamson County and then he transferred to Wilson County as a road Trooper. Raymond was promoted to Sergeant in Oct 2013. He has been a Level I commercial vehicle inspector since 2004 and he worked in the Commercial Vehicle Administration until January 2021. Raymond was promoted to Lieutenant and moved to Cookeville, TN as the District Special Programs Office and was the Public Information Officer for the District. Raymond has taught classes at schools, trucking industry, and other law enforcement agencies.
